violet ruffles

violet ruffles!!! this is one of bobwillson's pattern too!  indeed most of my works are with help of her patterns! her videos are so easy to understand. she makes all the tough patterns seem easy!! i was actually  thinking of pink ruffles and light green handle, same like the ones in her video.. but then mom suggested violet and green! http://www.bobwilson123.org/bags--purses.html

just today i was searching online to buy crochet hooks in various sizes with plastic handle coz i searched in few craft-stores near my place and couldn't find any. and i ordered moher special ebriul yarn with diff shades in the same skien on ponycrafts online store!

Drew this picture, long back. when i was still in college.

came across a picture of this sort on my friends FB page and i tried duplicating it! Though it dint look exactly the same as the pic on fb, it sorta did resemble a bit :)

 

Editing is and always will be one of the stuffs that I'l always be interested in. Had absolute fun editing this photo too! with a pinkish background and white scrapped border!! used pixlromatic application for editing it! 

Fluterry fluterry!!

Before I could try my hands at crocheting a flower, I crocheted a butterfly.. the sad part was that i had only brown yarn by that time... and I made a hair band for my cousin who is now in 4th grade. and  buttoned up the butterfly to the hair band.. She absolutely loves the butterfly on the hairband ;)

Pretty it looks!!! dosen't it?

The big shopper

woahhh! here comes my big shopper bag !! technically that was the first bag I started crocheting but finished it only after completing the cupcake bag!! when i started doing it i was thinking about using different colors for every two rounds.. later i was running out of colors and I had plenty of blue yarn, so ended up doing this.

did a circle of half double crochets for the base with help of a cap pattern. and the upper rounds are cluster stitches..  and the handle is by half double crochets ;)

I just completed reading the 2nd book of shiva trilogy and since the 3rd series of the book was with my cousin I was totally free. it was quite a long time since I crocheted and was thinking of crocheting a small coin purse. half way through I decided to crochet a phone pouch since i often keep dropping my phone and there was already a small crack on top of the phone.  And so, I ended up doing a grey phone pouch and added few colors on top for small twist.

Used a series of half double crochets and did a couple of half double crochets two together on top two rows so that the phone dosen't slip out easily :) brainyyy?? yae! i hear u saying that!!! :D
